GIMLabs is a geotechnical data management platform. It connects field data capture, office data management, analysis, reporting, and client delivery into a single system - all synced in the cloud.
The problem we solve
Ground investigation generates a lot of data. Borehole logs, sample records, lab results, photos, test data. Traditionally, this data lives in spreadsheets, desktop databases, and paper forms - disconnected, hard to share, and easy to lose.
GIMLabs brings it all together.
The platform
GIMLabs is made up of seven products, each designed to handle a specific part of the ground investigation workflow:
Log
Captures data in the field. A cross-platform app for iOS and Android, built for mobile and tablet. Works offline on site, syncs automatically when you’re back in range. Forms are driven by your configuration - so a trial pit form looks different to a borehole form.
Manage
Where data lives. Import and export AGS files, edit in a table editor, validate against built-in rules, and view locations on an interactive map. Web-based, so your team can access it from anywhere.
Insight
A read-only data explorer for stakeholders and reviewers. Browse project data across your organisation, filter by project, and export to CSV or JSON. No edit controls - read-only by design.
Connect
A client portal for sharing project data with external contacts. Invite clients by email, control what they see with per-contact permissions, and let them export in CSV or AGS format.
Calc
An Excel add-in that pulls live project data into your spreadsheets. Build templates with tables, charts, and formulas - then collect fresh data in a click. Go customers use standard templates. Pro customers design their own.
Template
Custom PDF reports for borehole logs, driller sheets, and site plans. Design layouts with nested columns, hatching patterns, and depth-driven content. Pull data directly from your projects - no copy-paste. Available on Pro.
Product OS
Your control centre. Manage users, licences, and permissions. Pro customers also get full configuration control - tables, fields, units, collections, and templates.
